Job Overview

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is on the lookout for a dedicated Structural Integrity Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will leverage their engineering expertise to devise innovative solutions for intricate technical challenges.

Primary Duties:

  • Assist in the F16 Production and F22 Sustainment Material Review Board (MRB) repairs to ensure that all components and assemblies comply with necessary strength criteria.
  • Conduct stress evaluations on both metallic and composite materials, including the sizing of detailed components and assessing the structural integrity of primary and secondary aircraft frameworks and systems.
  • Validate new and existing designs through strength assessments, issuing drawings, and compiling analysis reports.
  • Analyze and compare structural efficiency and weight for various structural configurations and concepts through comprehensive analysis and trade studies.
  • Contribute to structural testing by defining test requirements, loads, and anticipated outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering.
  • Proven experience in structural analysis of primary and secondary airframe structures.
  • Familiarity with both metallic and composite material analysis.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in freebody diagrams, classical hand calculations, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) pre and postprocessing, and knowledge of Linux or other programming languages.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Remote Work Capability

Remote Telework:

The selected candidate will have a hybrid work schedule, with part of their time spent working remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.



Work Schedule Flexibility

Lockheed Martin supports various alternative work schedules that offer additional flexibility to our employees. These schedules may include standard 40-hour weeks or condensed options, providing employees with extra time away from the office in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits.
Compensation Information

Salary Range:


The annual base salary range for this position in certain regions is $100,400 - $192,500. This information serves as a general guideline only.

Lockheed Martin considers various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's experience, education, and key skills when extending an offer.
