As a Structural Engineer at Pcmc Inc, you will be part of a team that encourages your development and positions you for advancement.

In this role, you will collaborate with industry experts to assist leading companies in addressing their most complex challenges.

You will engage with our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice, partnering with experienced leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver top-notch solutions to our clients with precision and reliability.


Key Responsibilities:


- Prepare design and construction documentation for new structures and enhancements to existing facilities as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary A/E team.
- Collaborate with project managers to define facility requirements for various projects.
- Supervise the work of structural engineers and designers.
- Analyze and design concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
- Work with project teams to produce structural calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and other deliverables.
- Assess existing structures and recommend improvements for new loads as necessary.
- Transform design sketches into detailed working drawings based on engineering principles and applicable codes.
- Ensure timely project deliverables while exceeding client expectations.
- Guide team performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Conduct fieldwork, including managing structural as-builts, rebuilds, retrofits, and providing technical support.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers.
- Recommend and implement design modifications.
- Analyze configurations of basic structural components.
- Utilize your expertise to strengthen client relationships and contribute to team success.


Qualifications:
- A minimum of seven years of experience in structural engineering.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design.
- Hands-on experience with structural engineering software such as RISA, RAM, STAAD, Mathcad, and ENERCALC.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and REVIT is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes and seismic standards.
- Experience in private sector industrial repair/remediation and greenfield projects is preferred.
- Ability to navigate various heights safely.

Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report generation and group presentations.

A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (with a structural emphasis) and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited institution are required.

A Professional Engineer License is mandatory.
A Structural Engineering License is preferred.
