Position Overview

As a member of Olsson's Facility Engineering and Design Team, you will be at the cutting edge of engineering advancements, delivering a wide range of services for significant commercial projects, healthcare facilities, laboratories, educational institutions, data centers, and military projects. Your expertise will encompass engineering assessments, design services, and professional consultancy, ensuring unparalleled quality and world-class installations. In the role of Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our distinguished team, leading and managing intricate facilities engineering and design initiatives. Your responsibilities will extend beyond design to include ensuring the utmost standards of structural integrity and compliance across our diverse project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct structural design efforts for a variety of projects, incorporating innovative engineering methodologies.
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers, promoting skill enhancement and professional development.
  • Conduct advanced structural evaluations and articulate findings in detailed reports.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality assurance to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in structural engineering to implement state-of-the-art practices.

  • A minimum of eight years of experience in structural engineering, particularly in facilities design.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and experience in managing engineering teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
  • Registration as a professional engineer is required.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Revit is preferred, but not essential.
