Position Overview

In this role, you will lead various projects from initial concept through to final execution. You will manage a range of small to medium-sized projects, leveraging your engineering expertise to ensure high-quality outcomes. Additionally, you will contribute to project scheduling, marketing strategies, and business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing intricate structures while adhering to all relevant codes and project specifications;
  • Overseeing the creation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Autodesk Revit for contract documentation;
  • Evaluating shop drawings, addressing Requests for Information (RFIs), and conducting site inspections during the construction administration phase;
  • Establishing project budgets and scopes, while effectively communicating with clients and construction teams;
  • Providing essential technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities. You possess exceptional attention to detail and excel in high-pressure environments, utilizing your organizational skills to meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for fostering collaboration among team members, clients, and contractors.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution;
  • A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license;
  • Successful completion of the NCEES Civil-Structural Examination;
  • In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles;
  • Experience in project management;
  • Familiarity with structural design and project management software, including RISA, Enercalc, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office;
  • Understanding of construction materials and methodologies;
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
