Role Overview

The Senior Manager of Procurement Strategies is responsible for formulating a comprehensive approach to the corporate procurement and materials management processes for acquiring both direct and indirect goods and services across the organization. This role includes overseeing procurement and travel software, managing designated corporate initiatives, and promoting supplier diversity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives, including new programs, products, and services, while crafting effective change management plans.
  • Establish and maintain protocols for category procurement, travel, supplier diversity, cafeteria services, vehicle management, corporate card usage, and third-party expenses. Define and influence category strategies to align with business objectives.
  • Administer e-procurement and travel software for the organization.
  • Collaborate with various business units to set and achieve goals aimed at minimizing the environmental impact of operations. Lead cross-company initiatives to reduce environmental footprints through strategic sourcing and purchasing management.
  • Oversee contractual agreements for the procurement of goods and services, managing annual supply expenditures exceeding $30 million. Work closely with legal teams and Supplier Management to ensure contracts are compliant and mitigate corporate risks.
  • Partner with the finance division to establish processes for invoice payments, tax compliance, account reconciliation, travel and expense policies, and budget preparation.
  • Analyze market trends in pricing and supply chain activities to inform contracting decisions and mitigate supply risks. Ensure thorough risk management practices are upheld for central suppliers.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of management experience in a procurement setting is required.
  • 7-10 years of involvement with ISM is required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in corporate travel management is required.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Certification in Purchasing Management or Certified Purchasing Supply Manager is required within one year.
  • Corporate Travel certification is preferred.
