Job Description

**Job Summary**

ORBIS Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Correspondence Specialist to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing correspondence, tracking tasks, and providing administrative support to ensure the efficient execution of NAVSEA's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a process to manage the ETMS2 task workload, ensuring tasks are properly captured, routed, and tracked to completion.
  • Create a Plan of Actions & Milestones to implement the ETMS2 tracking process across the NAVSEA enterprise.
  • Assist NAVSEA activities with managing formal tasks to completion, utilizing knowledge of the NAVSEA chain of command and general operations.
  • Support the Government in identifying and focusing on high-priority taskers, including Congressional inquiries and Office of the Secretary of the Navy taskers.
  • Design and maintain an executive dashboard to display task status across the NAVSEA enterprise, incorporating features such as task status by NAVSEA activity, due date, and priority.
  • Serve as the organizational awards manager, responsible for managing internal awards budget, compiling on-the-spot award nominations, and creating award certificates.

Requirements:

  • Direct experience handling Department of Navy correspondence.
  • Ability to work independently, be highly organized, and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on correct spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to work under direction and independently, with a self-motivated and results-oriented approach.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work with government and contractor technical and administrative teams.
  • 3 years of experience and a secret security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship.

Education:

  • BS or 5 years of work experience.
