Full-time, 40 hours per week

COMPENSATION:
$67,725 - $75,000 annually

EMPLOYEE BENEFITS:
Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, and sick leave are provided. Employees earn 116 hours of vacation in the first year along with 11 paid holidays. (Prorated for part-time employees).

POSITION CLASSIFICATION:
Exempt
The Administrative Executive Coordinator collaborates closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, along with other senior executives. This role involves managing internal and external communications as directed by the Executive Director. This is an on-site role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for fostering positive public relations, including the coordination and execution of organizational PR materials: monthly newsletters, brochures, press releases, website content, presentations, and special events.
  • Document minutes during meetings and provide assistance to the board as necessary.
  • Oversee the Executive Director's calendar and arrange appointments as instructed.
  • Draft, edit, and manage official correspondence for the Executive Director.
  • Support the Executive Director with expense reimbursements, timesheet approvals, and various reports.
  • Collaborate with the Fund Development Department on events and projects, including fundraising appeals and thank-you communications.
  • Organize and manage multiple administrative and management projects as directed by the Executive Director.
  • Work in conjunction with the human resources department to assist with confidential and other employment-related matters.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive administrative and management experience is essential. A minimum of 5 years in an executive assistant role or similar position providing high-level support to an agency director or senior management is preferred. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field with 2 years of executive-level experience is acceptable.
  • Strong discretion and confidentiality are paramount.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with experience managing multiple projects and a high volume of communications.
  • Capability to coordinate administrative processes and implement organizational policies effectively.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Publisher (or similar graphic design software), and Excel.
  • Familiarity with email marketing software and social media platforms is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and experience in low-income housing, homelessness, community development, and/or the nonprofit sector are preferred.
  • Previous experience in personnel management and/or supervising staff is desirable.
  • Successful completion of background and drug screening is required.

The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) has a rich history of over 30 years in owning and managing low-income housing, developing innovative solutions to homelessness, advocating for housing justice, providing supportive services, and operating hygiene services for homeless individuals at our Urban Rest Stops.

LIHI staff have successfully developed over 5,000 affordable housing units and currently manage over 3,000 units, which include rental housing, permanent supportive housing, and transitional housing.
