Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at Embassy Suites by Hilton Boston Marlborough. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience during their stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration and Check-In: Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome, using a positive and clear speaking voice to understand their needs and provide accurate information about hotel amenities and local attractions.
  • Room Assignment and Key Management: Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from our computer system, confirming pertinent details such as room rate and number of guests. Make appropriate selections of rooms based on guest needs and code electronic keys.
  • Payment and Cash Handling: Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods, handle cash, make change, and balance an assigned house bank. Accept and record vouchers, travelers checks, and other forms of payment.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Promptly answer the telephone using positive and clear English communication, input messages into the computer, and retrieve messages to communicate to guests. Resolve complications such as location changes or credit issues, and field guest complaints by conducting thorough research to develop effective solutions.
  • Account Closure and Guest Satisfaction: Close guest accounts at time of check-out, ascertain satisfaction, and negotiate compromise in the event of dissatisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma preferred.
  • Experience: Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Basic mathematical skills, ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, ability to stand and move throughout the front office, and ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English.
