The Project Coordination Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing, organizing, and assisting with activities related to the successful execution of significant company initiatives.

This position involves collaborating with various teams, vendors, and stakeholders who may not be direct reports, yet the specialist is accountable for guiding and achieving project goals.

From inception to completion, the Project Coordination Specialist ensures that all aspects of the project are effectively managed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating communication among team members
  • Organizing and coordinating meetings
  • Supporting readiness activities for users
  • Preparing presentations for steering committees
  • Managing action items and follow-ups
  • Handling requests for new training class additions, ensuring they are set up in both training and production environments
  • Mapping employees to appropriate training sessions
  • Providing comprehensive lists of classes, instructors, and participants
  • Ensuring timely scheduling of training through the Learning & Development department
  • Rescheduling missed training sessions, including make-up classes
  • Coordinating with field resources for training availability
  • Securing classrooms in various regions
  • Tracking completion of training programs
  • Managing access credentials in the training environment
  • Serving as a backup for scheduling training classes in the management system

Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, business, or technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience: Typically requires a minimum of three years of experience in project management. Certification in Project Management is highly desirable.

The primary objective of the Project Coordination Specialist is to enhance the success rate of projects by implementing effective project management principles, methodologies, tools, and standards.

Individuals in this role are expected to leverage their knowledge and experience across various functions and projects within PM2CM.
