Position Overview:

The City of Brooklyn Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled professional for the role of Assistant City Administrator. This newly established position will play a crucial role in both strategic and operational functions, enhancing the city's service delivery and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Department of Administration, which includes the Office of the City Clerk, Information Technology, and Communications.
  • Collaborate with department heads and engage with the City Council and community members.
  • In the absence of the City Manager, facilitate interactions with department heads and staff to implement directives from the City Manager and City Council.

Qualifications:

Exceptional project management and process improvement skills are required. A valid driver's license is necessary, and a master's degree coupled with five years of progressively responsible executive experience in a governmental setting is preferred.
