Position Overview

This role is designed to be remote-friendly. You will report directly to an Analytics Manager and play a crucial role in supporting the Pricing Strategy – Competitive Insights team within one of the largest sectors of the Home Improvement Industry in the United States. Your primary focus will be to collaborate with leadership to assess market dynamics, formulate pricing strategies, and provide insights that drive key business performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients to identify and comprehend their business objectives.
  • Develop data collection methodologies and collaborate with the web scraping team to translate business needs into data specifications.
  • Create and oversee SQL-based automation pipelines to ensure the availability of scraped data for analytical reporting.
  • Synthesize data findings to produce actionable insights, craft strategic business presentations, and consult on achieving key performance metrics.
  • Utilize structured problem-solving techniques to define and scope business use cases, while ideating and delivering solutions that align with business goals through collaborative feedback.
  • Assist the organization in attaining excellence through analytical solutions and data-driven insights.
  • Work effectively with a global team and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to proactively advance project workstreams.
  • Manage comprehensive communication and collaboration with various stakeholders across different verticals within the client organization.
  • Adapt to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment and quickly adjust to shifting business priorities.
  • Foster a curious mindset, attention to detail, and proactive engagement.
  • Stay informed about the latest market developments and contribute innovative ideas to maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in retail analytics, particularly in pricing and/or merchandising analytics.
  • Proficient in SQL (BigQuery preferred).
  • Experience in creating data-driven presentations for senior leaders in pricing and merchandising.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data interpretation and storytelling.
  • Advanced skills in Tableau.
  • Solid understanding and application of descriptive statistics.
  • Effective organizational skills and client expectation management.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Python or programming is advantageous; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Familiarity with data scraping techniques and nuances in price comparison analysis.
Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $78,000-$126,500, with actual compensation determined by various factors including relevant experience and skills.
