Position Overview

This position offers remote flexibility and reports directly to the Analytics Manager. The primary focus is to support the Pricing Strategy – Competitive Insights team within one of the largest sectors of the Home Improvement Industry in the United States. In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with leadership to assess market dynamics, formulate pricing strategies, and provide consultation on enhancing business KPIs and reporting mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients to comprehend their business objectives and requirements.
  • Devise data collection methodologies and collaborate with the web scraping team to translate business needs into actionable data specifications.
  • Develop and oversee SQL-based automation pipelines to guarantee the availability of scraped data for analytical reporting.
  • Synthesize data insights to create impactful strategic presentations and advise on achieving key business success metrics.
  • Utilize structured problem-solving techniques to define and scope business use cases, generating innovative solutions through collaborative feedback loops.
  • Assist the organization in attaining excellence through analytical solutions and data-driven insights.
  • Effectively coordinate with a global team and manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to drive project progress.
  • Facilitate comprehensive communication and collaboration across various stakeholders and global teams.
  • Adapt swiftly to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment, adjusting to evolving business priorities.
  • Foster a curious mindset, attention to detail, and proactive engagement.
  • Stay informed on market trends and contribute fresh ideas to maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in retail analytics, particularly in pricing and merchandising.
  • Proficient in SQL (BigQuery preferred).
  • Experience in crafting data-driven presentations for senior leadership in pricing and merchandising.
  • Strong analytical skills with a knack for data storytelling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau.
  • Solid understanding of descriptive statistics.
  • Excellent organizational skills and client expectation management.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with Python or programming is advantageous; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Knowledge of data scraping techniques and price comparison nuances.

The anticipated salary range for this role is between $78,000 and $126,500, influenced by various factors such as experience and skill set.
