Position: Property Leasing Consultant

Barvin Group LLC is a distinguished commercial real estate investment and development firm based in Houston, Texas. We specialize in managing a diverse portfolio of multi-family residential properties, encompassing nearly 4,000 units across Texas and Georgia. Our firm also operates a construction management division and has recently embarked on the development of new multifamily assets. Our mission is to own, develop, and manage properties that not only stand the test of time but also enhance the communities we serve.

Role Summary:

The Property Leasing Consultant acts as the sales representative for the property, primarily responsible for welcoming prospective tenants, showcasing the features and advantages of the property, and successfully securing lease agreements from qualified individuals. This role is centered around providing exceptional service and ensuring that both future and current residents feel valued and at home within their community.

Behavioral Assessment:

As part of our hiring process, candidates are required to complete a Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment, which takes approximately 5-10 minutes. This assessment focuses on work and communication preferences rather than intelligence or experience. Please note that submissions will not be considered complete until this assessment is finalized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing and Leasing:
    • Maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the leasing office and communal areas.
    • Conduct daily inspections of model and available units to ensure cleanliness and readiness for prospective residents.
    • Manage incoming calls, addressing inquiries from prospects and residents, and directing calls to the appropriate personnel as needed.
    • Engage with prospective residents to assess their needs and preferences, providing a comprehensive presentation of the community and available apartments.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Accurately complete lease applications and assist with the verification process, informing prospective residents of the outcomes.
    • Prepare all necessary lease documentation, including addenda, and manage the collection of rent and deposits.
    • Maintain records of guest interactions and send follow-up communications as necessary.
    • Conduct property inspections and report maintenance needs to the appropriate staff.
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Assistant Manager, Manager, or Property Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Class-A property management.
  • Familiarity with YARDI, Rent Cafe, and Outlook software.
  • Strong leasing and closing skills, with the ability to type at least 30 WPM and maintain organization.
  • Flexible work hours ranging from 20 to 40 hours per week, depending on full-time or part-time status.
