Position Purpose


The Merchant Services Sales Leader will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and broadening the client base for our merchant services offerings.

This position entails comprehending merchants' needs and providing tailored solutions to fulfill their payment processing requirements.

The sales leader will oversee a team of sales professionals to meet sales objectives by formulating and executing sales strategies that align with overarching business goals.

The ideal candidate will have a profound knowledge of payment processing, outstanding customer service abilities, and the capacity to coach, mentor, and inspire a sales team.

The Merchant Services Sales Leader will report to the Senior Sales Manager and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery to merchants while upholding high customer satisfaction levels.

Working in conjunction with Intuit's support partners and resources will be essential in achieving business goals and addressing customer needs, contributing to our mission of transforming the small business mid-market segment.

What You'll Bring

- A minimum of 2+ years of leadership experience with sales quotas in the merchant services field.

- Previous sales experience with accounting, ERP, or other financial management software is advantageous.

- Experience in selling merchant services across diverse industries with strategic positioning against customer challenges.

- Familiarity with industry standards regarding rates, cost analysis, and risk management in merchant services.

- Comprehensive understanding of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes related to financial transactions.

- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of sales metrics, performance standards, and methodologies.

- Proven success in building high-performing teams that consistently achieve results and the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

- A history of collaboration and influence within a sales team environment.

- A consistently positive attitude, a strong drive for results, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.

- A bachelor's degree or MBA is preferred.

- Rapidly test new concepts using our innovation practices, combining data and insights to learn and innovate swiftly.

- Mentor employees and provide regular feedback to emphasize role priorities, including sales, forecast accuracy, problem-solving skills, and innovation.

- Manage a sales pipeline and maintain a sustainable sales cycle to meet quarterly objectives.

- Collaborate with key stakeholders to influence the consulting process.

- Utilize resources effectively to manage account territories and close deals at scale.

- Measure success through key metrics including quota attainment, close rates, and pipeline velocity.
