Role Summary:
As a Store Manager, you will be at the forefront of enhancing both colleague and customer experiences. Your dynamic leadership, interpersonal skills, and business insight will motivate your team to embody the Bloomingdale's mission. A successful Store Manager is passionate about people, whether it involves recruiting, onboarding, and nurturing your team or ensuring that every customer enjoys an exceptional shopping experience. You will develop strategic business initiatives that drive sales, service, and customer loyalty through effective leadership and collaboration with your team to meet the store's sales and profit goals. You will also be proactive in addressing the daily operational needs of the business and responding to market and fashion trends. In the current retail landscape, our leaders must be adaptable and responsive to support sales performance and merchandising standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Model and coach customer-focused selling techniques to enhance sales and create an inviting shopping atmosphere for all customers. Foster a culture of courtesy and respect in all customer interactions. Communicate specific store requirements, market variations, and merchandise opportunities. Build partnerships with Central, Merchant, and Support teams to drive business success. Guide the team on operational excellence, including merchandising, store layout, logistics, visual merchandising, inventory management, and markdowns. Exhibit comprehensive product knowledge across all merchandise categories, with the ability to make informed merchandising decisions that boost business performance.

Qualifications:

Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred. Strong communication skills, capable of presenting information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and various business partners. Proven ability to plan and implement strategies effectively. Skilled in managing workflow to prioritize tasks effectively. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements:

Role involves extended periods of walking, standing, communicating, reaching, crouching, and climbing. Frequent use of technology, including computers and handheld devices, is necessary for job functions, including processing transactions. Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25lbs regularly.
