Position Overview:
Krystal Biotech, Inc. is in search of a dedicated Automation Engineering Associate to enhance our operations. The Associate will play a vital role in the design, implementation, and upkeep of automation systems within our CGMP manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a background in electrical engineering or a related discipline, along with a keen interest in automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and execution of automation systems for manufacturing operations.
  • Support the development and refinement of control systems to boost efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge automation technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve challenges related to automation systems and equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and updates on existing automation systems.
  • Help create and maintain documentation for automation initiatives.
  • Support validation and commissioning processes for new automation systems.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts to enhance automation capabilities.
  • Ensure adherence to GMP, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in automation engineering, ideally within a GMP or manufacturing context.
  • Basic understanding of automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective presentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Interpersonal skills with the capacity to engage and collaborate with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to internal client and customer service principles.
  • Familiarity with modern technology stacks, particularly in infrastructure, software engineering, data, and analytics.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to support project activities.
