Join our expanding Manufacturing Infrastructure Services (MIS) team, where we are currently seeking qualified candidates for our Structural Engineer position. This role offers the chance to innovate and design cutting-edge facilities across diverse sectors, including industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, real estate, solid waste management, energy, and public infrastructure. We are looking for proactive individuals who possess excellent communication abilities and a strong desire to leverage their professional expertise in a collaborative team setting. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, committed to fulfilling both personal and team objectives, and adaptable to a dynamic work environment. A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering is required, with preference given to those holding a Professional Engineer registration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of structural codes and standards.
- Collaborate under the guidance of a senior engineer to:
- Utilize various structural engineering software tools, including STAAD, RAM, TEDDS, SP-MATS, and Hilti Profis, for the analysis and design of buildings, foundations, and various structural elements.
- Prepare detailed structural calculations and specifications for materials such as steel, concrete, and masonry.
- Oversee the quality of structural designs executed by team members.
- Act as the primary liaison for the structural discipline during meetings with project managers and other discipline leads.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Coordinate design details and criteria with other engineering disciplines.
- Estimate engineering hours required for ongoing projects and new proposals.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, particularly with industrial or manufacturing projects.
- Proficient understanding of industry codes and standards, including ACI, AISC, AIST, ASCE, and AWS.
- Familiarity with structural design software.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to conduct field/site visits.
- Ability to travel as needed (approximately 10%).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in structural engineering is advantageous.
- Experience with REVIT, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam is beneficial.
- P.E. Registration or E.I.T. with several years of experience under a licensed P.E.
- Experience in leading engineering teams and projects.
