Sales Compensation Manager

As a pivotal member of the team, you will oversee the planning and administration of sales compensation processes. Your role will involve managing the calculations and reporting of sales commissions on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Key Responsibilities
1. **Lead Compensation Planning**: Drive the compensation planning and administration process, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
2. **Commission Management**: Oversee the accurate calculation and reporting of sales commissions, serving as a key business partner to Clinical Commercial Operations leaders.
3. **Reporting**: Provide comprehensive reports to Senior Management on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end basis.
4. **Data Modeling**: Supervise data modeling for territory setting, forecasting, objectives, and variable compensation plans across all sales channels.
5. **Territory Adjustments**: Analyze and manage adjustments related to territories and employees, establishing processes and standard operating procedures.
6. **Field Reporting Tools**: Utilize expert-level knowledge of field reporting tools for Sales Incentive Plans and Analytics.
7. **Sales Target Management**: Collaborate with the sales team to manage sales targets, tracking, and necessary adjustments.
8. **Revenue Adjustments**: Support end-of-month revenue adjustments, accruals, and payout reviews.
9. **Budget Management**: Oversee the annual sales commission budget for Commercial Clinical Operations, including quarterly forecasts and variance reporting.
10. **Data Analysis**: Conduct historical data analysis, variance analysis, and trend identification, designing financial models as needed.
Qualifications
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 5 years in sales compensation or incentive plans, with at least 2 years in compensation planning and strategy.
- **Industry Knowledge**: Experience in financial reporting or data analytics related to compensation is preferred, particularly in the medical, diagnostics, or life sciences sectors.
Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong documentation and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and enterprise management systems like SAP.
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, or DOMO is advantageous.
Travel Requirements
Domestic travel may be required up to 15% of the time.
