Job Title: Account Manager

Equipment & Controls, Inc. is a leading provider of innovative solutions in the industrial automation industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Account Manager will be responsible for developing and growing the Remote Automation Solutions business in our defined territory. This includes identifying and qualifying sales opportunities, providing technical/sales support to outside sales teams, and acting as the representative for other Emerson entities to introduce the appropriate resources necessary to complete the transaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow the Remote Automation Solutions business in our defined territory
  • Identify and qualify sales opportunities, apply knowledge of customer's business and establish a value proposition that results in sales
  • Provide technical/sales support to all outside sales teams
  • Act as the representative for other Emerson entities identifying opportunities and introducing the appropriate resources necessary to complete the transaction

Requirements:

  • Four-year engineering degree or equivalent industry experience
  • At least 2 years of technical sales experience with knowledge/experience in prospecting new accounts and growing share within existing accounts
  • Understands the technical and business challenges faced by this market and can develop solutions
  • Team player able to work closely with Account Managers and other business units
  • Ability to entertain and manage key sales relationships
  • Ability to penetrate new accounts, develop solid territory business plans and cover territory daily
  • Experience with measurement and control fundamentals desired
  • Experience selling into Oil & Gas and/or Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) markets a plus
  • Good mechanical and electronics aptitude and a strong work ethic
  • Strong presentation, consultative selling, interpersonal, account planning and communication skills
