Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the preparation and recording of asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information for both Operations and Real Estate Development.
• Manage all accounts payable by proper coding and entering of expenses, as well as preparing all check runs for signatures.
• Ensure the maintenance and balance of subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Oversee the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts and preparing a trial balance.
• Contribute to summarizing financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
• Engage in the yearly budget process and work with department Managers on their monthly Profit and Loss statements to ensure strict adherence to monthly expense budgeted.
• Maintain all bank accounts by timely reconciliations and participate in month-end close activities including the preparation and review of journal entries and review of budget-to-actual reports.
• Facilitate reconciliation of intercompany accounts and post eliminating journal entries.
• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met and assist in tracking and maintaining company insurance policies.
• Prepare allocation and post them into accounting software (Abila) and manage preparation of payroll and holiday schedules.
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.• Applicant must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations is a must.
• Demonstrable experience with general ledger management and journal entries is required.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Experience with month-end close procedures is necessary.
• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities is necessary.
