Position Overview:

As a Lead Research Scientist in Electron Optics, you will play a pivotal role in advancing KLA's technological capabilities. While we do not currently have an open position, we are keen to connect with talented individuals interested in joining our Principal Research Scientist talent community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate expertise in Electron Optics, focusing on Optical System Design, Lens Design, and Tolerance Analysis of intricate optical systems.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of high-voltage electronics.
  • Exhibit a deep understanding of surface science, particularly electron-surface interactions.
  • Engage in the design and modeling of ultra-high vacuum systems.
  • Contribute significantly to the development of top-level system specifications, sub-system error budgets, interfaces, and operational parameters for optimal hardware solutions.
  • Stay informed on relevant external research and advancements.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Technology Office to identify and develop new suppliers and research partnerships as necessary.
  • Adapt to working in a clean room environment.
  • Be prepared for occasional travel, up to 10%.

Qualifications:

Doctorate degree with a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or a Master's degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15 years of applicable experience.
