We are currently seeking a Senior Electron Beam Optics Engineer specializing in Electrical Beam Optics to spearhead the research and development, manufacturing, and deployment of cutting-edge Electron Beam Inspection systems, specifically designed for use in semiconductor wafer fabrication facilities. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, self-driven team player with exceptional communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary, and highly productive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the internal engineering team to ensure the successful delivery of electron beam columns for the next generation of inspection systems.
  • Conduct simulations of existing column designs across their full operational range, aligning simulations with experimental data, refining model parameters, and enhancing models of the electron beam source.
  • Utilize simulations to explore new operational modes of the column, incorporating additional lenses and deflectors.
  • Engage in design and simulation using 3-D modeling software for non-rotationally symmetric column components, such as Wien filters and high-precision energy filters.
  • Perform hands-on work with PDF's electron beam tools for column characterization.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Extensive experience in electron beam optics simulation utilizing MEBS software.
  • Proficiency in any programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, C++).
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, MATLAB, R, JMP).
  • Strong analytical and engineering capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience or knowledge of 300mm semiconductor integrated circuit manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment, particularly electron beam and ultra-high vacuum systems.
  • Desirable experience with electron beam inspection columns, especially in voltage contrast inspection.
  • Hands-on experience in the setup and characterization of new electron beam columns, guns, electronics, and test fixtures.

Compensation:
USD $158,000.00 - $186,000.00 per year.
