As part of the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG) is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, seeking the brightest research scientists, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.
The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) Division offers industry-leading metrology solutions for semiconductor IC manufacturers worldwide.The FaST Division's portfolio includes hardware and software solutions for optical film thickness, optical critical dimension (CD), composition, and resistivity measurement systems.
These products are vital for IC manufacturers, providing essential metrology capabilities for the development and implementation of advanced IC processes.
The FaST division is dedicated to supporting our customers in achieving performance entitlement of our solutions, partnering effectively from their early research and development phase to high-volume in-line manufacturing implementation tailored to their process needs.
The division comprises a global team located in various regions. Job Description/Preferred QualificationsThe Advanced Development team is tasked with investigating and characterizing next-generation technologies, comparing them to innovative semiconductor metrology products.
In this role, you will focus on extending and supporting the modeling, simulations, and performance evaluations of novel metrology technologies.
This position involves close collaboration with software, algorithm, hardware, and system engineers.Responsibilities
- Conduct simulations to analyze the performance of KLA tools and software
- Develop modeling methods for next-generation metrology tools
- Design and execute various simulations to evaluate the performance of new tools
- Clearly document and present concepts, modeling designs, and simulation results
Desired Skills
- Proficiency in creating, modifying, and debugging scripts in MATLAB
- Strong understanding of common optical systems, such as ellipsometers, interferometers, or microscopes
- Data visualization, reporting, and communication skills
- Knowledge of EM/RF modeling in COMSOL is advantageous
- Familiarity with semiconductor processes, metrology, and process control is a plus
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate (Academic) with 0 years' experience or Master's Level Degree with at least 3 years' experience.
