Position Overview

JK Consultants, a prominent name in upscale residential landscape design and maintenance, is seeking a qualified Residential Landscape Estimator/Project Manager. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in managing landscape construction projects, particularly in the area of cost estimation. This role is crucial for guiding complex landscape initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to exceptional quality standards and client satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough project estimations and managing change orders, encompassing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Collaborating with design and sales teams to create precise project proposals.
  • Staying informed about market trends, pricing, and best practices in landscape construction.
  • Maintaining and updating internal estimating templates and cost databases.
  • Overseeing project management from the initial bid estimate through to project completion.
  • Communicating project specifics to supervisors to ensure successful execution within defined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Coordinating with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Conducting site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Working closely with Superintendents and field staff.
  • Tracking job financial performance and assisting with billing processes.
  • Collaborating with the maintenance division for seamless project transitions.
  • Serving as the primary contact for clients throughout the project, ensuring professional communication.
  • Providing timely updates on project progress, changes, and challenges to clients.
  • Addressing client inquiries promptly to maintain satisfaction.
  • Ensuring all work adheres to high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Conducting final inspections and client walkthroughs to confirm project completion and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management within the landscape construction sector.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Proficient in landscape project estimating software and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction practices, including grading, drainage, hardscaping, lighting, and irrigation.
