Position Overview:
As a vital member of the branch Executive Management Team, the Project Operations Leader - Landscape Construction is accountable for the overall success of offsite projects, including recreational areas, parks, and playgrounds. This role is crucial in helping the branch achieve its financial objectives and growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workload Forecasting:
    Continuously engage with sales and estimating teams to assess upcoming workload, providing guidance on margin strategies, resource allocation, and client satisfaction.
  • Financial Analysis:
    Deliver precise cost assessments to complete projects and identify additional revenue opportunities through thorough reviews. Generate reliable monthly financial reports.
  • Scheduling and Resource Allocation:
    Comprehend individual project budgets and allocate necessary resources daily. Communicate with clients to develop tentative schedules that align with their expectations, and ensure field personnel are informed and accountable.
  • Labor Management:
    Assess the labor requirements for each project based on budget constraints and communicate these expectations to the installation foreman and supervisors.
  • Budget Adherence:
    Conduct pre-construction meetings and ensure comprehensive project folder setups. Evaluate project commitments and understand the contract scope through detailed reviews. Monitor project progress for any variances and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Team Leadership:
    Take ownership of team activities, maintain availability for staff, provide regular performance feedback, and foster the development of team members' skills.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or five to seven years of relevant construction experience, or a combination of education and experience. A background in landscape construction is preferred. Candidates must be willing to travel occasionally and possess strong time management, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required. Early morning start times and Saturday work may be necessary. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities is essential.
