Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain a 3-week look-ahead schedule, monitoring progress, tracking delays, and identifying responsible parties.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to document delays and track them in the schedule, proactively seeking assistance from upper management to prevent scheduling issues.
  • Utilize Procore tabs effectively, including Change Events, Commitments, Daily Log, Documents, Drawings, Forms, Inspections, Observations, Photos, Prime Contract, Punch List, RFI, Schedule, Specs, Submittals, T&M, Tasks, and Time.
  • Maintain accurate and complete daily logs, including manpower, delays, equipment, dumpsters, phone call logs, notes, visitors, and deliveries.
  • Communicate and track cost and time impacts promptly to the Project Manager.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills and communication, protecting and advocating for Edwards Construction Group's interests and crews.
  • Respond to meeting minutes with accurate notes and foster positive relationships with subcontractors and Inspector of Record.
  • Lead and mentor teams, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, promoting innovation, and encouraging a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Navigate BIM models and Trimble Connect, providing training to others as needed.
Qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience in public works construction.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction management, project management, estimating, and site superintendent duties.
  • Ability to manage projects independently, including creating and updating schedules, tracking and reviewing submittals, pricing and negotiating PCO and CCO, and managing the process from Change Event through Commitment Change Order.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Procore tabs and maintaining accurate records.
  • Excellent organizational skills and communication, with the ability to foster positive relationships with subcontractors and Inspector of Record.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
