Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Account Manager to join our team at Marshall + Sterling Inc. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing designated accounts and/or Sales Executive's book of business, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage service timelines for designated accounts and/or Sales Executive's accounts, ensuring timely completion and coordination with clients and Sales Executives.
  • Recommend tools and resources to mitigate risk and provide value-added services to clients.
  • Proactively recommend coverage options and supplemental policies to mitigate risk and increase revenue.
  • Be proficient in all value-added tools and resources, including Microsoft Office programs and Vertafore.
  • Manage the renewal process, reviewing applications, policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy.
  • Review comparisons and quotations for renewals, making individual policy placement decisions based on client needs and agency requirements.
  • Prepare account summaries and deliver policies and related documents to insured as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on rates, forms, and coverage changes through circulars, bulletins, trade publications, seminars, and schools offered.
  • Communicate effectively with Sales Executives, management, and clients, maintaining a professional and favorable work relationship.
  • Adhere to established employee manual policies and guidelines, maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, and agency information.
Requirements
  • College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pursuing or already have an insurance-related designation.
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, with experience with Vertafore a plus.
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance and products is essential.
  • Appropriate state insurance licenses and continuing education required.
  • Five years of commercial lines customer service and/or sales experience.
  • Desire for commission-based compensation.
  • Works effectively and relates well with others, including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and maintain a high level of organizational ability with attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $100,000, negotiable and based on commission. The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
