Job Summary

Jackson Demolition Service, Inc. is a leading demolition firm seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process all accounts payable invoices and match receiving/packing slips.
  • Filing and maintaining both paid and unpaid invoices.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve any issues related to payment or invoices.
  • Efficiently process customer credit applications.
  • Set-up and maintenance of vendor records within the financial accounting system.
  • Assist with the processing of vendor check runs, matching invoices to checks and investigating any errors/discrepancies, mailing and filing.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities as related to accounts payable.
  • Provide support for other accounting and finance functions as needed.
Requirements
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of previous accounts payable experience preferred.
  • Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
  • Must be extremely proficient in computer-based applications, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of team, as well as take individual initiative.
  • Excellent time management
  • Familiarity with Timberline accounting software.
