Position Summary:
We are currently in search of a skilled Construction Site Supervisor for our operations in Texas. In this role, you will oversee all facets of construction projects, managing a team of 6 to 8 workers to ensure efficient execution of daily tasks on roadway and heavy construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruiting and mentoring team members
  • Planning and organizing daily work schedules in collaboration with project management
  • Supervising a crew of skilled and unskilled laborers
  • Coordinating daily operations and ensuring resource availability for timely project completion
  • Overseeing subcontractor activities on assigned projects
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Reviewing project documentation to guarantee adherence to specifications and standards
  • Monitoring crew performance and implementing corrective actions as necessary
  • Conducting quality checks on work performed by both in-house teams and subcontractors
  • Facilitating jobsite orientations for new employees
  • Managing equipment usage and maintenance
  • Coordinating equipment needs with project management
  • Ensuring all operators are properly trained
  • Conducting daily safety meetings and toolbox talks
  • Submitting weekly time sheets and daily progress reports
  • Collaborating with clients on project updates and payment applications
  • Preparing incident reports as needed
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in the construction field
  • A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Knowledge of construction equipment, materials, and methodologies
  • Experience in highway construction and maintenance is preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to interpret project documents, including plans and specifications
  • Organizational skills for record-keeping and reporting
  • The capability to follow directions efficiently
  • The ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Familiarity with safety protocols
  • A willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and handling materials
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required
