COMPENSATION:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Blue World is seeking a Construction Supervisor with a broad construction background to join our expanding team.

The ideal candidate will not only be adept at following and executing project schedules and managing a crew but will also engage in hands-on tasks, including operating machinery and demonstrating proficiency in site layout, carpentry, and welding.

Experience in mechanical and structural trades, along with the ability to interpret and execute mechanical and structural plans, is highly desirable.

We are looking for an individual who possesses the experience to manage these responsibilities and, more importantly, has the passion to mentor and guide others, allowing them to focus on overseeing the project rather than performing all hands-on tasks.

This role requires active participation on-site, as Blue World values a multi-talented crew that works on diverse projects. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring smooth and efficient job operations.

Key responsibilities include scheduling and directing the crew each day, completing necessary documentation, and ensuring the job site is organized while maintaining clear communication with clients to guarantee their satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience—10-20 years of diverse construction experience, particularly in underground pipeline/utility work, water/wastewater management, heavy civil construction, pipeline installation, heavy equipment operation, welding, and masonry are essential for this versatile role.

Driver's License—Must possess a valid and clean driver's license.

Education—High school diploma or equivalent required; preferred training and certifications include OSHA 40 HAZWOPER, OSHA 30, HDPE pipe fusion, equipment operation, welding, and/or rigging.

Travel—Willingness to travel as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Developing, implementing, and overseeing site logistics during operations.
  • Being present on-site daily while operations are active.
  • Engaging in daily communication with project managers, engineering oversight, and clients as necessary.
  • Reviewing construction drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety and construction guidelines by the crew.
  • Coordinating project tasks and phases with project managers and subcontractors to maintain schedules.
  • Submitting daily and weekly reports, including logs and performance records.
  • Maintaining an organized and professional site appearance.
  • Understanding team dynamics to effectively allocate resources and maximize success.
  • Addressing safety or compliance concerns as they arise.
  • Operating heavy machinery, including dozers and excavators.
  • Participating in site activities, such as pipe installation, carpentry, concrete work, and welding.
  • Effectively managing personal time and responsibilities.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Typical hours are from 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities available.
