The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Compliance Manager is tasked with overseeing safety and environmental risks within the organization. This role collaborates closely with the Director of EHS to execute comprehensive initiatives focused on EHS adherence and sustainability practices.

Key Responsibilities

· Formulate and implement organization-wide safety protocols and EHS communication strategies

· Organize, facilitate, and present EHS training sessions as mandated by regulations and site-specific requirements

· Manage both internal and external EHS audits, ensuring documentation is accurate and deficiencies are addressed

· Assist in the development of corporate sustainability programs, including data collection and research on various sustainability issues affecting the business

· Provide support and direction on EHS initiatives at the employee and supervisory levels to ensure a unified and effective strategy

· Participate in accident and incident investigations, implementing corrective measures as necessary

· Ensure adherence to safety protocols

· Maintain and ensure accessibility of safety data sheets as required

· Keep accurate records related to training, permits, and regulatory compliance

· Uphold safe working practices and reinforce the established safety policies and procedures

· Act as Chair or member of safety committees or councils

· Support organizational growth and development:

  • Air quality permitting
  • Sustainability and recycling initiatives
  • Regulatory compliance issues
  • Safety equipment management

· Stay informed on industry regulatory developments

· Engage in professional development and training opportunities

· Perform additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Strong verbal and written communication abilities

· Capability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively

· Familiarity with federal and state regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT guidelines

· Relevant safety certifications (e.g., ASP, OHST, STS) are advantageous

Education

A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related discipline is preferred.

Experience

A minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing setting, focusing on environmental and safety compliance.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand and walk throughout the manufacturing facility for audits and other responsibilities.

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and utilizing a computer.

· Capability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
