Job Overview

LaBella Associates is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer specializing in water and wastewater systems to enhance our Municipal division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee a variety of water and wastewater infrastructure initiatives, ranging from small to large scale.
  • Provide guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design to final construction.
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals and documentation.
  • Lead and mentor team members as necessary.
  • Prepare comprehensive engineering reports and analyses.
  • Conduct and evaluate detailed hydraulic calculations.
  • Create high-quality project documentation, including specifications and drawings.
  • Support clients in the procurement process for construction projects.
  • Engage in water and wastewater operations, including modeling, environmental assessments, permitting, and financial planning.
  • Deliver construction administration and bidding services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills in verbal, graphic, and written formats.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  • Proficient in managing project workloads and budgets.
  • Familiarity with AutoDesk software and hydraulic modeling tools.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Open to learning and adapting to various project needs.
  • Effective collaboration skills with diverse teams across different locations.
  • Capable of following instructions and completing tasks autonomously.

Preferred Skills:

  • Professional Engineer registration preferred or E.I.T. progressing towards PE.
  • Experience with Civil 3D and/or Revit software.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic modeling software such as HydroCAD or WaterCAD.
  • Experience with hydraulic calculations and understanding of pump design.
  • Familiarity with drinking water and wastewater treatment processes.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of computers and office equipment.
  • Occasional movement within the office environment.
  • Ability to navigate stairs and ladders for site evaluations.
  • Effective communication with team members and clients.
  • Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel primarily within the state.
  • Physical capability to assess project sites, including climbing and walking on uneven terrain.
  • Willingness to enter confined spaces, with appropriate training.

Compensation: Salary range is between $65,000 and $85,000, influenced by experience, education, and work location.
