Job Overview

LaBella Associates is in search of a dedicated Civil Engineer specializing in water and wastewater systems to enhance our Municipal division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and plan a variety of water and wastewater infrastructure initiatives, ranging from small to large scale.
  • Provide oversight and direction throughout project phases, from conception to construction.
  • Assist in crafting project proposals and documentation.
  • Collaborate and mentor team members as necessary.
  • Prepare initial engineering reports and assessments.
  • Conduct and evaluate detailed hydraulic calculations.
  • Create high-quality project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Support clients in the procurement process for construction.
  • Engage in water and wastewater operations, including research, hydraulic/process modeling, environmental assessments, permitting, and project financing.
  • Deliver bidding and construction administration services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills in oral, graphic, and written formats.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  • Capability to manage assigned tasks and budgets effectively.
  • Familiarity with AutoDesk software and hydraulic/process modeling tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to diverse project needs.
  • Strong collaborative skills with team members across various disciplines.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions while completing tasks independently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Professional Engineer registration preferred or E.I.T. on the path to becoming a PE.
  • Experience with Civil 3D and/or Revit software, including best practices for drawing production and discipline coordination.
  • Proficiency in modeling water systems using HydroCAD, WaterCAD, or similar software.
  • Experience in hydraulic calculations and understanding of pump design and selection.
  • Knowledge of drinking water and wastewater treatment processes and their design parameters.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of computers and office equipment.
  • Occasional movement within the office environment.
  • Ability to navigate stairs and ladders for site evaluations.
  • Effective communication with team members and clients.
  • Occasional outdoor work and travel, primarily within the state.
  • Capability to conduct physical evaluations of project sites, including climbing and walking on uneven terrain.
  • Willingness to enter confined spaces, with appropriate training.

Compensation: Salary range of $65,000 - $85,000, influenced by experience, education, and location.
