Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engineering calculations and prepare project estimates.
  • Develop technical drawings by modifying existing designs or creating new ones based on initial sketches.
  • Ensure compliance with both company and client design standards.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control checks on design methodologies and outcomes.
  • Interpret multi-disciplinary drawings and respond to inquiries effectively.
  • Conduct field inspections and surveys, documenting findings through reports, photographs, and notes.
  • Research applicable codes and regulations to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop project designs.
  • Create and refine 3D models for project visualization.
  • Investigate design alternatives and present findings to project managers.
  • Utilize standard engineering techniques, applying judgment to adapt existing designs as necessary.
  • Assist project teams in preparing proposals and client documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 1-2 years of relevant engineering experience; EIT or PE certification is preferred.
  • Interest in Civil/Site Engineering projects; prior experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in CAD software, including AutoCAD, HydroCAD, and WaterCAD.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
  • Proficiency in Civil3D software.
  • Experience in land development and pipeline projects is a plus.
  • Familiarity with solar site projects and stormwater management is beneficial.
  • Experience in grading design is an advantage.
