Job Summary

Upson Company is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Roofing Project Manager to oversee the successful completion of commercial roofing projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing operations and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct the productivity of a crew of roofers
  • Set priorities, goals, and timelines for projects
  • Communicate professionally and accurately about the project
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Manage workload and preplan equipment and supplies
  • Train and develop apprentices in the trade of commercial roofing
  • Manage paperwork weekly
  • Attend Foreman meetings weekly

Requirements
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to pass pre-hire physical and pre-hire drug screen
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Minimum experience as a journeyman roofer for a period of 2 years
  • Valid Driver's License with no restrictions
  • Reach, lift, and maneuver supplies and ladders up to 50 lbs
  • Stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently
  • Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
  • Have understanding and working knowledge of multiple roofing systems
  • Must be comfortable working more than 6 ft off of the ground
  • Carry out duties in varying outdoor climate conditions for extended periods of time

  • Be professional, respectful, and maintain composure with customers and co-workers
  • Possess accurate oral and written communication skills
  • Follow company policies and procedures, OSHA, and applicable State and Federal laws
  • Ability to listen, follow instructions, and learn new tasks
  • Fluent in English
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish beneficial
  • Produce quality work on an ongoing basis
  • Professional customer service at all times
  • Proficient problem solver
  • Self-motivation and ability to prioritize
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task

Upson Company is a locally owned and operated commercial roofing contractor, located in the Boise Valley since 1975 with a track record of financial stability and consistent year-round work. We develop our workforce from within and offer apprentice training from laborer to lead man positions. We have been able to retain key employees whose tenure with the company for some is over 20 years. Throughout our history, the company has been able to thrive through both economic booms and economic downturns.
