Job Summary

The Business Manager at Perfection Gymnastics is the primary point of contact for staff members who interact with customers, and they strive to build relationships with all staff, students, and parents. These relationships enable the Business Manager to provide effective support to customers by collaborating with fellow staff members and the company as a whole.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service and Relationship Building: Develop strong, caring relationships with all staff, students, and families, and communicate effectively through various forms of communication.
  • Emergency Procedures: Familiarize yourself with all emergency procedures in the gym and ensure that all supervised employees are aware of these procedures.
  • Instruction and Leadership: Demonstrate highly effective, energetic instruction and leadership in all levels and areas, maintaining a positive attitude and giving 100% effort.
  • Business Management Support: Directly support the owners in all aspects of business management.
  • Team Supervision: Manage, support, and supervise the office, recreational, and special events directors and team leads, with a primary focus on recreational and special events programming.
  • Scheduling and Meetings: Schedule, develop, plan, and attend regular work times, staff education meetings, professional development opportunities, and other meetings as scheduled.
  • Procedures and Compliance: Follow, teach, and monitor all procedures mandated by Perfection Gymnastics School.
  • Human Resource Management: Implement, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of Human Resource Management, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, payroll, evaluation, employee handbook, benefits, employee medical and time off, worker's compensation, and other HR areas.
  • Technological Literacy: Demonstrate technological proficiency and teach and monitor the use of iClassPro, the Google Suite, the copier/scanner, and other technological applications.
  • Appearance and Workspace: Maintain a clean, professional appearance and facilitate, oversee, and monitor the cleanliness and maintenance needs of the business to ensure a clean, healthy, and organized workspace.
  • Supply Management: Create and implement systems for ordering office and business supplies in the most cost-effective and efficient manner, ensuring quality supplies are available at the lowest cost.
  • Financial Analysis: Develop and implement spreadsheets for studying revenue and expenditures per program and share them with the leadership team to inform budgeting decisions.
Requirements
  • Management Experience: 3-5 years of management experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Criminal Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Communication Skills: Must communicate clearly and fluently in English (both written and verbal).
  • Technology Proficiency: Must be proficient in technology and computer skills.
  • Organization: Must be highly organized.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends on a rotating schedule.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Environment: The physical environment requires the ability to work both seated and standing/walking, with some light lifting (up to 40 lbs), squatting, stooping, bending, use of computer keyboard and mouse, and other physical movement on occasion.
  • Hazardous Materials: Potential exposure to hazardous materials/bodily fluids, including but not limited to magnesium carbonate (chalk), blood, urine, and vomit.
  • Life-Saving Techniques: May be required to administer life-saving techniques to gymnasts, customers, or staff.
  • Other: Other potentially hazardous working conditions may exist.
Evaluation

Every employee at Perfection Gymnastics School will be evaluated at least yearly and may be more frequent depending on the length of time employed and performance. The evaluation criteria for this position are attached to this page. Employees may also receive other forms of evaluation, including but not limited to formal and informal observations.
