Territory Sales Representative

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Representative to join our team at W.W. Williams Company. As a Territory Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in a specific area of responsibility, promoting the use of our industrial power products and services to solve customer problems and add value to their businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from industry research, trade shows, and other sources.
- Customer Engagement: Call on current and potential customers in an AOR (area of responsibility) to identify profitable business opportunities and partner with them to solve their problems and add value to their businesses.
- Solution Development and Demonstration: Work with customer representatives and W.W. Williams' operational personnel to develop and demonstrate solutions to resolve customer problems and win the business.
- Quoting and Negotiation: Prepare and present quotations for requested repairs or repairs identified through inspections; proactively follow up with customers and negotiate to close the sale.
- Training and Support: Provide training for new products or services to customers' personnel when requested by customers.
- Industry Engagement: Attend relevant industry trade shows and conferences to solicit new business.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Complete all the necessary reporting via reports and/or CRM system to create records of all customer contacts, sales calls, and opportunities.
- Marketing and Sales Strategy: Work with Williams' Marketing staff to develop marketing materials, sales strategies, and promotions.
- Technical Expertise: Maintain the technical expertise necessary to represent and sell all OEM products and services offered by W.W. Williams.
- Brand Representation: Promote a positive image of W.W. Williams and its employees.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of related sales experience.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills.
- Technical Skills: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
- CRM Experience: Proficient in Salesforce or experience with other CRM software preferred.
