Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at W.W. Williams. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for working with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with customers to determine their concerns, problems, or needs while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Match customer needs with our product and service offerings and propose solutions to maximize customer satisfaction and sales opportunities.
  • Identify sales opportunities beyond current needs and provide customers with information to make informed decisions.
  • Use extensive product knowledge and various computer software programs to identify exact parts needed and price and availability.
  • Emphasize product features and benefits, quote prices and credit terms, and prepare orders for sales obtained.
  • Enter products sold into computer resulting in a thorough accounting of inventory levels and accurate customer invoices.
  • Recover freight costs by following the current freight policy.
  • Process customer payments in any of the acceptable forms, assuring that credit policies are observed when credit is the chosen payment method.
  • Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers.
  • Estimate date of delivery to the customer, based on knowledge of our firm's inventory and stock delivery schedules.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of related sales experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
