As a Senior Systems Engineer III specializing in Electronic Intelligence (ELINT), you will play a pivotal role in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of sophisticated software systems.


Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. Alternatively, five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of twenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in complex Department of Defense (DoD) programs and contracts is required.
  • Proven experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering initiatives is essential.
  • Prior experience with ELINT report generation and interfacing between ELINT sensor systems and end-user mission systems is necessary.
  • Experience with Direction Finding (DF) theory, including the use of spinning DF antennas and interferometric DF arrays, as well as correlating DF results into actionable fixes is required.
  • Familiarity with Omni and DF antenna arrays, RF and IF switching, signal processing theory and equipment, data storage, and real-time data streaming between acquisition systems and control centers is expected.
  • Experience in developing Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs) and Statements of Work (SOW) to the necessary detail for vendors to construct ELINT collection, processing, and reporting systems is crucial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational support for Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications, RF tuners, switching and processing hardware, as well as metadata/product repositories and storage systems.
  • Adhere to established procedures for system monitoring and problem resolution.
  • Identify issues and optimize system performance as necessary; escalate issues appropriately and follow change management protocols.
  • Analyze and report on operational metrics to ensure success in process improvements and capacity planning; provide recommendations for necessary enhancements.
  • Offer production support for escalated issues, troubleshoot problems, notify relevant resources in case of failures, and collaborate with teams to resolve issues while adhering to service level agreements.
  • Comply with security protocols and procedures, report issues as needed, and suggest improvements where applicable.
  • Document new or modified functions, modules, systems, or configurations comprehensively.
