Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- You will drive architectural improvements and enhancements based on customer feedback for intricate systems related to our messaging infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the Infrastructure Architect to break down future specifications and system-level requirements into manageable sub-systems.
- Work alongside the Technical Project Manager and Program/Product Value Stream Leaders to identify business needs and assist in the Collins Management System Gating process.
- Contribute to the technical product roadmaps that outline the transition from legacy systems to next-generation infrastructures.
- Support the verification and validation of software updates and security patches, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
- This role requires onsite presence three days a week.

Qualifications Required:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8 years of experience, or an advanced degree with 5 years of experience. Alternatively, 11 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Proven experience in the complete life cycle of system development, including planning, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
- Experience in developing and maintaining system infrastructure and processes, including documentation.
- Familiarity with integrating external systems operated by third parties.
- Experience with hardware-software integration for Linux and Ubuntu systems.
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge of IBM COTS: MQ Series and RDQM.
- Experience in a Linux operating environment.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and systems configurations for large-scale infrastructure.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to interpret vendor specifications for COTS hardware.
- Technical domain knowledge within the Aviation sector.
