Program Execution:
This program adheres to DEVOPS best practices and incorporates robust development, testing, and production environments. Our team of security professionals is dedicated to enhancing system security architecture and cyber defense capabilities. Responsibilities include managing multiple system security plans across various classification levels, following the Risk Management Framework (RMF), overseeing cross-domain capabilities, and supporting Security Verification Testing (SVT) for relevant Type 1 devices.

Job Summary:
A Lead Cybersecurity Systems Engineer is required to assist in integrating new capabilities into a complex system characterized by stringent interface, performance, and security requirements. The selected candidate will join a team of security engineers focused on addressing challenging issues within a significant program.

Key Responsibilities:
The chosen candidate will engage in a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Validating and verifying system security requirements while establishing security designs for large-scale systems and their components within a complex network environment.
  • Identifying and implementing suitable information security architectures to ensure consistent application of security policies and enterprise solutions.
  • Recommending and developing technical solutions and standards based on current and desired security architecture.
  • Assessing and mitigating security threats and risks throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Leading and contributing to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and certification activities for various system operations.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal technical experts on a daily basis.
  • Communicating with program managers and points of contact from customer organizations regarding significant security issues.
  • Participating in program increment planning and related agile team activities.
  • Working closely with System Engineering, Test Engineering, and Integration teams to ensure that hardware and software implementations meet security requirements for classified information processing.
  • Analyzing system implementations against multiple security compliance policies and recommending enhancements.
  • Evaluating the impact of new developments on the operational security posture of the system.
  • Conducting security verification testing of relevant Type 1 devices.

Security Clearance Requirement:
Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph to be considered for this role.

Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience. Additional experience may substitute for a degree. Compliance with DoD 8570 at IASAE Level 3 is required. Candidates must hold a Computer Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification and have experience applying the Risk Management Framework.

Preferred Qualifications:
Five (5) years of experience with Defense in Depth principles and technologies, including access control, authorization, and network security architecture. Experience in developing and implementing integrated security services management processes, such as network penetration testing and incident response, is also preferred.
