Patient Service Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Scripps Health. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, payers, and providers, while ensuring accurate and efficient registration, scheduling, and referral processes.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide accurate information regarding registration, scheduling, and referrals.
- Registration and Scheduling: Accurately register patients, schedule appointments, and confirm appointments according to guidelines.
- Referrals and Authorizations: Initiate and validate referrals/authorizations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively address customer concerns, taking ownership of solutions and escalating issues as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1+ year of experience in a customer service or healthcare/medical office environment preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
This is a full-time, day shift position with a Monday-Friday schedule from 8am-5pm. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
