Lead Software Engineer in AI/ML Operations

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and develop a comprehensive AI/ML platform that seamlessly integrates with current CI/CD workflows and data ecosystems.
  • Create automated tools and frameworks for essential processes such as model training, testing, registration, deployment, monitoring, and experiment tracking.
  • Design and implement end-to-end MLOps pipelines for internal use cases, focusing on both structured data and large language models.
  • Build and sustain core data pipelines to effectively manage data flow for training and deploying machine learning models.
  • Enhance and optimize machine learning infrastructure to ensure high performance and scalability.
  • Establish best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within machine learning operations.
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and operational guidelines.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to ensure alignment in operational and architectural strategies.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML operations.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Scala, Python, Java, or Golang.
  • Experience with big data technologies and frameworks, particularly Apache Spark, for processing extensive datasets and optimizing data workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code, specifically using Terraform.
  • Proven track record of building end-to-end MLOps pipelines in at least one large-scale production project, including CI/CD practices.
  • Familiarity with AWS services like Sagemaker, Lambda, S3, Glue, and Redshift, as well as large language models and AWS Bedrock.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and Airflow for workflow management.
  • Experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
Physical Requirements

Ability to work in-office a minimum of three days a week.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000, determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus program and an equity award. The salary range is listed in USD and will vary based on the successful candidate's geographic location.
