Job Summary:
Supermicro is on the lookout for a Software Manager specializing in AI & ML-Ops to craft transformative experiences for our clientele.

This role demands a growth-oriented mindset, overseeing the design and execution of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of relentless curiosity, strategic foresight, technical acumen, empowering leadership, and a customer-centric approach to develop a product of immense value for our users.

This leader will grasp the product strategy and roadmap, translating those requirements into comprehensive solutions encompassing personnel, processes, and technology.

A profound technical insight into connecting, collecting, and managing data across numerous interconnected devices is essential for this role.

We seek an individual who is proactive, a self-starter, an innovative thinker, a quick learner, and a champion for customer satisfaction.

A solid track record demonstrating the ability to lead and manage change, collaborate effectively across various functions, communicate with clarity, and thrive in a dynamic and ambiguous environment is crucial.


Key Responsibilities:
Outlined below are the primary responsibilities associated with this role (additional duties may also be assigned):

  • Design and implement AI/ML strategies within Supermicro's Cloud Orchestrator product.

Team Leadership:
Oversee a team of AI developers and solution engineers, promoting teamwork and providing mentorship.

Innovation:
Spearhead innovation in the integration of end-to-end AI lifecycle and ML-Ops processes, covering data acquisition, preparation, model development, deployment, and monitoring.

Research & Development:
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, implementing state-of-the-art solutions.

  • Ensure the quality, reliability, scalability, and security of AI/ML solutions and platforms.
  • Encourage a culture of learning, experimentation, and excellence within the AI/ML team and the broader organization.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including Supermicro's partners, to identify business needs and requirements, propose technical solutions, and lead the implementation of selected solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing AI/ML and ML-Ops systems in a commercial setting.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role managing teams.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, including deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, and React.
  • Strong knowledge of data processing and storage technologies like Postgres, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
  • Proven experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries: TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras, PySpark, etc.
  • Significant experience with cloud computing platforms: Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Extensive experience with DevOps tools: Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform.
  • Demonstrated experience with MLOps tools: Kubeflow, MLflow, TensorFlow Serving, TorchServe, etc.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to guide a team of technical professionals.

Salary Range: $154,000 - $215,000. The offered salary will be influenced by various factors, including location, experience level, education, training, specific skills, and comparisons to other employees in similar roles. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may qualify for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
