Position Overview:

The Senior Audit Manager is responsible for directing the audit operations for a diverse range of financial entities, including those filing with the SEC. Our Financial Institutions division comprises over 100 skilled professionals, and the Senior Audit Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing our team's effectiveness and efficiency. This position entails leading the audit team, managing the audit workflow, analyzing existing procedures, and offering suggestions to improve organizational policies and practices. The Senior Audit Manager will be tasked with training, guiding, supervising, inspiring, and evaluating the audit team's performance.

In this role, the Senior Audit Manager will interact with key decision-makers on a daily basis and will engage in business development and client initiatives that promote growth across all service areas. As a key member of the Audit Practice team, maintaining strict confidentiality is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the client's operations to ensure their understanding of engagement economics and provide regular updates.
  • Manage and nurture client relationships throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Foster a collaborative team atmosphere and motivate team members through effective communication and actions.
  • Regularly communicate the status of engagements, challenges, and solutions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Exhibit the ability to identify complex challenges and devise innovative solutions.
  • Take ownership of all phases of client engagements and oversee multiple audit projects concurrently.
  • Review engagement budgets and billing, providing accurate updates based on reports and data.
  • Delegate and oversee audit tasks to ensure precise outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for new business through revenue-generating activities.
  • Participate in performance evaluations; assess readiness for promotions among staff, seniors, and managers.
  • Provide direction and mentorship to the audit team.
  • Maintain awareness of team members' qualifications and ensure assignments are suitable.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPA Certification is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of recent audit experience in a public accounting environment, with a focus on Financial Institutions, Banking, and SEC filers.
  • Proven success in developing new or expanded service opportunities with current and potential clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in recruiting, developing, and leading a team of professional auditors.
  • Experience with SEC clients is preferred.
