Position Overview: The Audit Analyst I for Telecom is accountable for the systematic review and evaluation of customer invoices related to Cass telecom services, which encompass local exchange, long-distance voice, conferencing, internet, and private data communications. This role employs Cass's standardized auditing protocols alongside the ExpenseSmart system to scrutinize invoices for potential vendor credits and opportunities for cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough audits of invoices to identify credits and opportunities for cost reduction. Record findings by entering detailed information into the ExpenseSmart application.
  • Deliver recommendations to clients through WebEx presentations.
  • Clarify technical aspects and secure client consent for the execution of suggested improvements.
  • Generate work orders via ExpenseSmart for complex implementations of recommendations, documenting progress milestones within the application.
  • Assist support personnel as needed with straightforward implementations, notifications, and validations to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Facilitate service transitions by providing insights on contract terms and associated risks, ensuring timely removal or transition of billing.
  • Engage directly with clients, vendors, and account managers to gather necessary contacts, vendor agreements, client requirements, and compliance documentation.
  • Support Cass account management in maintaining the overall health of customer relationships within the auditing context.
  • Contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators to ensure alignment with individual and team performance expectations.
  • Provide training to clients regarding circuit inventory, geographical locations, and general reporting.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support to the designated client base.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal communication and telephone skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in spreadsheet applications for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with telecom carrier billing systems, long-distance rate structures, telecom contracts, and data network components and pricing.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred experience of 3 years in telecom billing audits for voice and data services.
