Advanced Automation Consulting is in search of a Lead IT Audit Specialist to join our esteemed financial services client. This role presents a chance to be part of a dynamic team within a rapidly expanding organization. The position will primarily be based on-site at the state-of-the-art headquarters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategically plan and execute IT audit assignments to evaluate the efficiency of internal controls and risk management systems across designated Information Technology sectors.
- Effectively communicate audit findings to management through comprehensive reports and presentations.
- Conduct risk assessments, pinpoint internal controls, and design as well as implement audit tests in line with professional standards across various technology platforms.
- Oversee audit assignments and guide audit personnel in executing audit tasks.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in specific areas as designated by the Chief Audit Executive (CEA) and/or the Senior Director, offering guidance to fellow auditors during engagements.
- Compile audit documentation to substantiate audit activities and conclusions for each reviewed area.
- Evaluate the work of junior auditors and provide constructive feedback to ensure compliance with internal audit standards.
- Facilitate audit walkthroughs, closing discussions, and other interactions with audit stakeholders.
- Draft findings and reports for review by audit management.
- Monitor and follow up on audit issues to ensure resolution of identified findings.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across multiple IT domains, guiding other auditors in their engagements.
EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT auditing or a combination of IT and IT audit experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Accounting, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience in IT auditing or a related field.
- Proficient in researching innovative technologies, identifying vulnerabilities, and applying findings to audit engagements.
- Experience with audit management software and proficiency in scripting, coding, or query languages for data extraction or automation.
- Exceptional organizational skills, capable of working independently with minimal oversight while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to evaluate business and IT processes, identify risks, and formulate audit procedures to assess control design and effectiveness.
- Familiarity with ISACA standards and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).
- Possession of at least one professional certification such as CISA, CIA, or CISSP, or commitment to obtain one within two years.
