Job Overview

The Instructional Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing educational practices within the district. This position is focused on supporting effective teaching, learning, and assessment through high-quality professional development and resources.


Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid TN Teacher License.
  • Preferred endorsement in Administration.
  • Demonstrated success in engaging with students and families at the school or district level.
  • Experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with school leadership on curriculum design, execution, and oversight.
  • Plan and deliver professional development sessions, mentoring programs, textbook selection, intervention strategies, summer learning initiatives, and assessment processes.
  • Assist teachers with data interpretation, curriculum guidance, and assessment creation.
  • Provide constructive feedback to enhance instructional methodologies.
  • Compile and submit reports to the Tennessee Department of Education.
  • Guide the implementation of educational initiatives and instructional strategies.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to broaden instructional expertise and adopt best practices.
  • Utilize various data sources, including formative and summative assessments, to inform the school community.
  • Leverage data to drive improvements and communicate data-informed decisions to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate student academic requirements to address established objectives and identify achievement gaps, implementing suitable educational interventions.
  • Foster a culture of collaborative professional learning communities to support continuous improvement and student success.
  • Adhere to regulations established by State and Federal authorities, as well as policies set forth by the Maury County Board of Education.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Office of Teaching and Learning or the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction.
