About the Role

Columbia State Community College is seeking a highly qualified Academic Faculty member to join our team as a Nursing Faculty member. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering instruction in various formats, including online and in-person classes, and evaluating student learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction: Deliver instruction in a variety of modes, including online and in-person classes, and evaluate student learning.
  • Course Preparation: Be responsible for course and laboratory preparation, ensuring a high-quality learning environment for students.
  • Curriculum Development: Actively participate in curriculum and program development, revision, and evaluation to ensure alignment with institutional goals.
  • Academic Advising: Provide academic advising to students, with a focus on retention and success.
  • Professional Development: Remain current in the teaching area(s) through appropriate professional development activities.
  • Committee Participation: Actively participate on divisional and institutional committees to contribute to the college's mission and strategy.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Certifications: BLS/AHA CPR certification or higher (ACLS/PALS).
  • Licensure: Tennessee RN License or eligibility.
  • Experience: 3 years of recent clinical experience serving a diverse population.
