Job Summary

Sequoia Financial Group is a leading Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Wealth Development Associate to join our team. As a key member of our financial services team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Advisors in delivering exceptional client experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Assist Advisors with prospect and custodian advisor follow-up communications and activities, ensuring timely and effective client engagement.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on prospective clients using various tools and resources, including Wealth Engine, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google.
  • Project Management: Provide analytical and project management support for the unique needs of our Advisor team, ensuring seamless execution of client projects.
  • Marketing and Communications: Develop and prepare marketing presentations for prospective clients, showcasing our expertise and services.
  • Custodian Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with custodian representatives, ensuring smooth referral background checks and issue resolution.
  • Client Onboarding: Prepare and distribute pre-meeting introductory client materials, ensuring a positive client experience.
  • Data Management: Manage new business data and associated action items within Salesforce, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in the preparation of proposals, ensuring timely and effective client engagement.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with outside vendors as needed, ensuring seamless execution of client projects.
  • Asset Verification: Verify assets and fees for closed/won opportunities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Client Documentation: Collaborate with Client Service Associates to ensure accurate and timely documentation of new relationships and accounts.
  • Training and Development: Participate in virtual and in-person training and development programs, enhancing your skills and knowledge.
  • Event Planning: Assist in planning and executing small events for prospective clients, showcasing our expertise and services.
  • Calendar Management: Schedule and manage calendars for Advisors, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Client Meetings: Participate in prospective client meetings and follow-up activities, as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Professional Certifications: Series 65 or 66 preferred, with the ability to obtain within 3-4 months of beginning the role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field required.
  • Industry Experience: 1-5 years of financial services industry experience required, with prior sales, client service, or client-facing experience in any industry.
  • Technical Skills: Competent with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM or database applications.
  • Personal Characteristics: Utmost integrity, customer service-oriented, eagerness to learn and develop, ability to work independently and as part of a team, professional presence, and strong organizational and time-management skills.
